Le Praz, Courchevel -The Village
Le Praz boasts a good selection of lively bars, mouth-watering creperies and fine restaurants including "Le Bistrot du Praz", one of the most famous restaurants in the 3 Valleys. There is also the Darbello and the S Courch that does excellent pizzas and a host live bands and shows all the major sporting events. The S Courch is 50 metres from the Chalet Chardon Blanc. |
Skiing to Le Praz is a breathtaking experience in itself. Tree lined pistes, some of the prettiest in the three valleys; lead you to the village of Le Praz and within 30 metres (approx) of your chalet. The jockey’s black run into Le Praz is on the famous in Europe.
The traditionally good snow, north facing slopes and extensive network of snow cannons enable you to ski back to the village throughout the season.
Of course for those wishing to stay behind for an après ski drink in one of the sophisticated bars of 1850, a free ski bus service operates (until 1:00am every night) to take you and your skis back to chalet in the Chardon Blanc in Le Praz.

The Courchevel ski area links in to the massive 3 Valleys ski area. From the foot of the Gondola lift you are 2 lifts away from either Méribel or Courchevel 1850.

3 Valleys Ski Area
The Courchevel Valley pass gives you access to all the lifts in 1850, 1650, 1550, Le Praz and La Tania - its a huge area to ski and will is ample for any beginners or level one skiers. It is possible to buy 1 day extensions to make it a 3V pass and this may be an option if you only intend to head over to the Méribel Valley side once during your week.
The Three Valley Pass lets you use any of the 200 lifts and is recommended for most skiers and boarders who want to explore the entire 600km of pistes throughout Courchevel 1850, 1650, 1550, Le Praz, La Tania, Méribel, Mottaret, Méribel Village, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, St Martin de Belleville and Brides Les Bains. If you buy a 6 day or more Three Valleys pass you can ski for 1 day in one of the following areas (subject to all areas being open, snow conditions etc): Tignes / Val d'Isère (Espace de Killy), La Plagne / Les Arcs / Peisey Vallandry (the new Paradiski linked area), Pralognan La Vanoise and Les Saisies.

Getting Around
There is free ski bus, which you can use with your lift pass, which runs every hour and links Le Praz to its neighbouring Courchevel stations. These are La Tania, Courchevel 1550, 1650 and 1850 (takes about 15 mins to 1850).
